Fade Away

Yesterday, Adrian and I spent a majority of the day on the beach taking photos and frolicking around like two little kids. On the way home, we picked up Chinese takeout and rented Good Will Hunting, because it's one of my favorites, and I was totally shocked to find out that Adrian hadn't seen it yet. Watching it again reminded me why I have a girl crush on Minnie Driver. I so adore her quirky personality.

I've officially finished my workday, and I'm super excited that I get to enjoy this three day holiday weekend with no work whatsoever. I was contemplating pitching a tent on the beach for three days, until I found out that the weather might not even break 65. I'm so longing for those hot summer nights. My favorite time of year, hands down.

Okay, I really think that I discovered the most perfect quilted moto jacket on the planet. What do you guys think? It arrived on Friday evening, and it was perfect timing because the weather has been super chilly these past 5 days, so I have been layering it with everything. My gava pumps have also stretched almost an entire size since placing them in stretchers when I am not wearing them. I'm hoping that I didn't do too much damage since I'm not so savvy in the shoe cobbling department.

I've been on this nude & black kick since these gava pumps arrived in the mail last week. I have literally worn them every day since since Thursday, and although they are causing my feet great pain, I cannot seem to take them off. I guess I'm still bitter that I missed out in my correct size last year, so I'm taking it out on my feet, lol!

Five Seventeen

My style has been so skitzo lately. One day I'm cut offs and Dr. Martens, and the next in blazer and heels. I love dressing up more than going casual, but I've been working my butt off lately, so the latter of the two seems to make more sense. It's easier to get from A to B when you're not in five inch stilettos, lol. These gava pumps arrived in the mail yesterday, and totally motivated me to throw on a dress. I won them on ebay last week, and the kicker, they are 1.5 sizes too small for me. I seriously got into this mad bidding war, and then I think I blacked out, and somehow I won. I also invested in a pair of heel stretchers, hence the only reason that I was able to squeeze into them today. Now back in their stretchers they go.

I'm obsessed with this rose tank from Wildfox's white label. So amazing. It goes perfectly with the rose crown and Dr. Martens that I can't seem to take off. Today, I received this awesome rose crown in a few more colors, so that will break up a little bit of the monotony that's going on in my posts.

One of the fun projects that was on my to-do list over the weekend, was to create a cover for my facebook page. My feathers were ruffled when facebook switched me over to the new timeline version, because most of my photos are portrait, which do not work for their landscape cover specs. On Saturday, I threw on my favorite new top, and headed to the water, to snap this amazing shot right at sunset. Now, I'm sitting here at my desk, staring at this peaceful photo, and I want to go back.

Open Back

This dress definitely left me drooling after viewing LF's spring festival lookbook. I'm seriously obsessed with this brilliant silhouette to the point that I'd purchase it in ten different colors if feasible. The lighting has been super tricky these past few days, and this wall outside my apartment seems to be the only place where we could snap a quality photo, so my apologies for the not so aesthetically pleasing backdrop.

Thanks for staying with me and reading my blog throughout the past twelve months. Your continued love and support inspires me more than I ever thought was imaginable. I'm truly honored, humbled, and forever grateful.

LF's spring festival lookbook totally motivated me to leave my bubble and drive over to the La Jolla store to pick up a few pieces that I could not stop dreaming about. Of course, this brilliant top is one of them. I'll forever be a sucker for anything with a low-cut or open back if it's done tastefully.
