Two Twenty-Eight

(Sunglasses - Balmain, Scarf - Saint Laurent, Nailton Moto Jacket - Burberry Brit
Bag - Saint Laurent, Tee - Rag & Bone, Denim - Saint Laurent, Boots - Saint Laurent)

I've become a complete sucker for anything Saint Laurent! Started with shoes and has recently progressed into ready-to-wear. Sales were definitely in my favor last season, so luckily I was able to pick up a few pieces like this denim, scarf, and a few tops. Their skinny denim literally sucks in everything like spankx but in a way more comfortable way! Highly recommend.

Enjoy the weekend! xo

Black Suit

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

(Sunglasses - The Row, Blazer - Burberry Prorsum, Bag - Saint Laurent,
Trousers - Burberry Prorsum, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Scored this Burberry Prorsum suit for sixty percent off over the holidays, and had every good intention on wearing it for NYFW until I forgot to pack it! Also forgot to pack ALL of my sunglasses. Like I didn't even leave my apartment wearing a pair. Even though we had a shop in the hotel we were staying at, I couldn't find a pair that resonated with me to save my life. Five days straight with no sunglasses was definitely a first. I'd rather go barefoot.

Enjoy your Thursday! xo

Yesterday

(Sunglasses - Celine, Garbo Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Tour Bracelet - Balenciaga,
Skull Bracelet - Alexander McQueen, Bag - Celine, Denim - Asos, Shoes - Celine)

Super comfy errand running attire from yesterday and pretty much my go-to outfit over the last few days. Slip-ons have become my sneaker of choice, hands down. Which leads me plotting between this skull style or this leopard style for my next sneaker purchase. Crushing on the little pineapple-skull print that is all over Saint Laurent's S/S 2014 collection.

Enjoy your Tuesday! xo

Good Love

Monday, February 24, 2014

(Sunglasses - The Row, Good Love Contour Jacket - Zimmerman, Clutch - Givenchy,
Tamer Pants - Zimmerman, Sandals - Saint Laurent

An unexpectedly warm day permitting me to dress in a light layer of lace for dinner tonight. Had the best intentions on wearing this look to the Zimmerman show during NYFW, but it would've been a shame to hide all this gorgeous detailing under a wool trench! Some looks just aren't meant to brave a polar vortex, and this might be one of them. Fashion week or not.

Strapped

(Sunglasses - The Row, Jacket - Acne, Playsuit - Reformation, Bag - Celine,
Sandals - Stuart Weitzman)

Pretending like it's summer in a playsuit and sandals! But seriously, it's about eighty degrees in San Diego today! Was hoping that it would extend into the weekend so I could lounge at the beach sans multiple layers, but that's looking rather grim. Thinking it's a good weekend to start a new book. Any suggestions?

(Blazer - Alexander Wang, Trousers - Alexander Wang

This is part two of my collaboration with THE OUTNET, my go-to online destination for scoring designer pieces at deeply discounted prices. For this round, I chose to style a look from Alexander Wang. Being a huge fan of his suiting, I chose these separates for a business casual look. Layered a leather corset underneath for a seamless transition from day to night.

Happy Wednesday! xo

(Sunglasses - Celine, Coat - Etoile Isabel Marant, Top - Cosabella, Bag - Celine,
Trousers - Sachin & Babi, Sandals - Saint Laurent

Became a huge fan of Sachin & Babi after attending their S/S 2014 show last September. In addition to their own line, this dynamic duo does all the elaborate textiles and embroideries for several renowned fashion houses, including Oscar de la Renta, Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci, Lanvin, Alexander Wang, and Carolina Herrera. Their high waist sporty-like trousers are a refreshing update to my overly loved collection of black skinnies. Wore them with a newer top from Cosabella and reliables from Celine and Saint Laurent.

Twist

(Sunglasses - The Row, Floral Clutch - Givenchy, Twist Dress - T by Alexander Wang)

Back in California celebrating the warmth appropriately in a little black twist dress from the king of basics, Alexander Wang. A present from my beau last year that I'd neglected for far too long. Topped off with staples from Givenchy and The Row.

Enjoy your weekend! xo

Layered In Black

Thursday, February 13, 2014

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Necklace - Chanel, Blazer - Cushnie Et Ochs, Clutch - Givenchy,
Coat - Isabel Marant, Denim - Paige, Boots - Saint Laurent

Piled on every black item that I packed for this severely cold day in NYC last weekend. The open back of this Cushnie Et Ochs blazer was my favorite part of the look, but unfortunately it was too cold to capture it properly. Layered on top is a recent sale find, this multi-purpose chic wool coat from Isabel Marant. It's lined with straps to keep the coat in tact if chosen to wear over the shoulders. A win for me because I always end up losing my coat whilst walking when attempting this look!

(Full Look - River Island, Bag & Boots - Chanel)

I recently teamed up with River Island to test run a pair of denim for their new denim project. Being a huge lover of black skinnies, their Molly jegging was a no-brainer. Layered with a simple black tank and white leather moto jacket — A perfect look for transitioning into spring season. Topped off with very reliable accessories from Chanel for a good mix of highs and lows.

Seventy Four

(Beanie - Rag & Bone, Lace Jersey - Givenchy, Jacket - Acne, Floral Clutch - Givenchy,
Denim - Paige, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Was never really a jersey girl until this lace style from Givenchy converted me. Fun fact behind this jersey is it's named after the label's resort menswear collection, Favelas, and Riccardo Tisci's birth year, 1974. Probably not the warmest option, but layered under a jacket it almost made sense. Fashion week thus far has been a plethora of so many of my favorites including houndstooth, feathers, ornate beading, leather, faux fur (mainly white), lace, laser cuts, and plaid. Still feeling a bit of a nineties vibe and no complaints here. I'm this years street style correspondent for Mercedes Benz, MBFW, so if you'd like to see what I've been up to, you can do so here

Layered

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Sweater - Isabel Marant, Tank - Oak, Bag - Givenchy, Denim - Genetic, Boots - Isabel Marant)

Layered up in my very reliable tank from Oak and this Brad sweater that I couldn't find anywhere full price, but managed to score the last piece at fifty percent off at the Marant store on Melrose. It's probably rare to see a layer under my crop, but sans the tank in this situation would be highly offensive. Shaking the last bit of the nineties trend out of my system before springtime hits. Why does it have to end? Because it's good. Too good.

One Three

Monday, February 3, 2014

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - American Apparel, Coat - Zara, Denim - Levi's, Bag - Celine,
Pumps - Jimmy Choo)

I've been on a crop top bender for at least a year now, at least. Layered this crop from AA underneath a jacket for dinner and then a little disco afterwards. Favorite combination for nights like last Saturday. Pulled my trapeze out of hibernation for the first time in way too long. Smaller bags have always made more sense since I really don't carry that much stuff with me. Larger bags have always been more of a statement piece versus actually stuffing them to capacity. Phony bologna handbag behavior — Guilty.

First

Saturday, February 1, 2014

(Sunglasses - Balmain, Nailton Leather Jacket - Burberry, Tank - Oak, Bag - Saint Laurent, Denim - Asos, Trainers - Saint Laurent)

Updated my sneaker collection with this retro seventies inspired pair from Saint Laurent. If you love and you're a size six, then you can score them here at fifty percent off. Took advantage and ordered the last size ten (bigfoot) a few weeks back. Wore them with my favorite denim style from Asos (new wash) and secretly hoping that they don't come out with any further washes because I really can't refrain myself from buying them.

Enjoy the weekend! xo
