Taking huarache to a whole new level.

Pourpre

Monday, April 28, 2014

(Sunglasses - Celine, Madra Trench - Objects Without Meaning,
Cropped Knit - Calvin Klein Collection, Bag - Celine, Belt - Isabel Marant
Denim - Maurie & Eve, Derby Shoes - Saint Laurent

Taking destroyed to a whole new level with these Oh Boy jeans from Maurie & Eve. A plausible one-up on my beloved Asos busted denim? I think so. The extra ventilation and loose fit make them a pretty practical choice for the scorching days ahead. And definitely no complaints about this boyfriend trend going strong for five years and counting. Please don't end. Ever. xo

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Sunglasses - Chanel, Choker - Vanessa Mooney,
Mia Bralette - Isabel Marant, Blouse - Equipment, Bag - Chanel,
DIY Shorts - Saint Laurent, Flats - Chanel

These cut-offs are the result of a DIY attempt at this pair of Saint Laurent chain denim. Wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome so I cut them into shorts — which I love because the fit is pretty spectacular. Wearing them with the most stellar crisp white blouse that I own — this signature two pocket from Equipment. I'm really loving a good bra slip lately. Thanks to Isabel Marant for designing this bralette that makes it somewhat acceptable for peeking through.

Enjoy the weekend! xo

Twenty-Three

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Cropped Knit - Calvin Klein Collection,
Bag - Celine, Belt - Rodarte, Shorts - Vintage, Holden Slides - Isabel Marant)

Totally busted for recycling the same shorts and top from my last post. Oops — real deal Holyfield! So I'm still on this heel hiatus — nine days and counting. Changed up my birks with these
oh-so-aesthetically pleasing leather slides from Isabel Marant. I know, I know, technically glorified birks. xo

Bambù

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Bikini - Solid & Striped, Bamboo Cross Necklace & Rings - John Hardy, Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Shorts - Vintage)

Partnered up with sustainable luxury jewelry brand, John Hardy, to style a few pieces from their iconic Bamboo Collection — strong designs with traditional jewelry-making and dedication to sustainable living. Bamboo is the central element in Bali often referred to as "nature's gift to mankind"— the natural source of inspiration behind their collection. The Bamboo Collection supports John Hardy's initiative to be Greener Every Day. With the collection being so in touch with nature, I couldn't think of a better place to style them — the beach is like a second home to me. Constructed of reclaimed silver metal, I'm confident they'll withstand time along my journey.

John Hardy is giving back with Earth Month. 20% of all sales from the Bamboo Collection, up to $15,000, will go to support Trees New York during the month of April.

Happy Earth Day! xo

Bomber

Monday, April 21, 2014

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Top - Reformation, Bomber Jacket - Vintage, Clutch - Givenchy,
Denim - Vintage, Arizona Sandals - Birkenstock)

For those who are not a fan of Birkenstocks, I'm sorry! They are SO comfortable. Just picture my look with a substitute of your choice, hehe. I do own a more fashionable version from Isabel Marant, but they aren't nearly as comfy. Wearing one of my most prized vintage finds ever — this bomber jacket that I picked up in LA last month. Topped off with recyclables from Ray-Ban and Givenchy. xo

Fading

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Choker - Vanessa Mooney, Tank - Pavonine, Bag - Saint Laurent,
Denim - Objects Without Meaning, Derby Shoes - Saint Laurent)

Swooning over this pretty much perfect pair of denim from recently discovered Objects Without Meaning. Love a good high-waist and no complaints about the unexpected zip detailing via the inner ankle. I've been on a flats bender for almost a week and it feels SO good. My feet love me, I love my feet (sans the callouses and blisters), so let's see how long I can ride this one out. xo

Coachella

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Choker - Vanessa Mooney, Top & Shorts - Buffalo Jeans, Shoes - Vans

Partnered up with Buffalo Jeans to style a look from their spring collection for Coachella weekend one. Went against the bohemian grain and selected this wrap top and structured mesh shorts. A perfect barely there combo since the temperature nearly climbed to one hundred on Sunday. Topped off my favorite lightweight festival pieces with gold accessories and checkered vans for a comfortably cool look.

Enjoy your Tuesday! xo

DL 1961

Monday, April 14, 2014

(Choker - Balenciaga, Tank - Oak, Bag - Celine, Florence Instasculpt Denim - DL 1961,
Arizona Sandals - Birkenstock

Who doesn't love a little micro-sculpting to the derriere, legs, and midsection? DL 1961 Premium Denim delivers just that in their new 4-way stretch denim, the instasculpt. I'm wearing the DLPRO modal stretch which uses less energy, dye, and water. The fabric is also fifty percent more absorbent which keeps you cooler in the summer months. Layered them with a simple tank and throwback birks that I owned in every color/style in high school. Even the super birki red clogs — was a bonafide junkie for sure.

Four Eleven

Friday, April 11, 2014

(Sunglasses - Balmain, Top - Rails, Mia Bralette - Isabel Marant, Clutch - Givenchy,
Belt - Isabel Marant, Denim - DL 1961, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Feedback on this bralette on instagram (note that it was laid out flat on a table):

"Who's boobs are this small?"

"I think that's made for a doll or barbie."

"What is that, a bra for ants?"

"I'm so confused, like, how do you even wear that? It looks like a napkin."

"Can we get a pic of how it fits? Need to see this."

Well, I've at least solved the latter of the five, I hope? Oh, and my boobs are this small, boom! How good is my instagram feed? A very reliable source of laughter — never disappoints (if you can take things with a grain of salt, that is).

Enjoy the weekend! xo

Printemps

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Best sheets, hands down, are Pure Beech. Ecologically friendly, sustainable, and contain no pesticides or toxic substances. Alternate between their jersey knit and sateen sets.
Sold at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Spring party pants from last year fresh in from the dry cleaners.

What's always in my (mini) bag? Sunglasses (prada wired-rimmed aviators shown), EOS lip balm, and Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in creamy neutral beige. Love to keep my lips hydrated throughout the day with EOS. Also makes a great base before applying lipstick.

Update to my choker collection with this anarchy necklace from Vanessa Mooney.

Isabel Marant iconic Carol sandals from last spring coming back into the rotation.

Perfect Isabel Marant Mia lace bralette for spring layering.

Fell in love with Molton Brown London's japanese orange scent when I stayed at The Parker in Palm Springs.

Tatcha cleansing oil has been my go-to for the last few months. Removes even the most difficult waterproof make-up with ease.

I've recently been turned onto this genius cream from Algenist. It provides a suppleness that helps soften the lines around my eyes.

Super hydrating and very affordable hand cream from EOS. Use morning and evening to prevent hands from drying and cracking. Layer under socks in the winter months at night.

My Mum recently turned my onto StriVectin's intensive concentrate. Haven't noticed a wrinkle reduction but it has lightened hyper-pigmentation spots.

The hype is true! Clarin's intense bronze self tanning tint is definitely the best. Receive compliments on how natural my tan looks.

I use Dr. Denese's hydroshield on days that my skin is feeling extremely dry. Great after a beach/pool day.

Happy spring! xo
