I bought this bodysuit a few years ago, wore it one time for an event, and found it buried in my closet last night. It totally inspired me to do an all black look today. After weeks of color, it's definitely a nice change. I know I say it all the time, but I love my AA basics. I don't know what I'd do without them.

I'd been on a mission for months to find an affordable yet stylish satchel in brown, so I was super stoked when I stumbled across this satchel from Grafea. I had my heart set on a new PS1 in brown, but in reality, my bank account couldn't afford it. The quality of this satchel is so brilliant. I adore the long strap, and the effortless appeal that it creates. They also make an awesome cross body festival bag that is next on my list.

So, this is the red playsuit that I mentioned a few posts ago. It's definitely a little too short for my torso, so I was super bummed when I tried it on, as the black one was really perfect. I wore it with a longer black trench to avoid my butt cheeks from hanging out, in case I were to drop something or just walking in general. Definitely a good look from the front, from the back, not so much.

I picked up this bodysuit last week from AA in the sleeveless style, as I own it with sleeves and find myself wearing it with everything. I've been on this stripe kick lately, too. It's classic. Why not.

Last Friday was a little warmer than expected, so I decided to celebrate the weather in this little winter white ensemble. My weekend was pretty relaxing. On Saturday night, my boyfriend and I met up with a friend that we hadn't seen in ages, so that was super nice. I wanted a massage so badly, but that didn't happen. I took mine daily, but he decided that he liked children's chewy vitamins better, so now we are both sick. Now, I'm off to buy him manly vitamins to avoid this happening again, lol!

Ways To Wear Denim

No matter what changes in trends and fashion, denim has always been my "go to" uniform from as back as far as I can remember. Surprisingly, denim pants are not first on my list when it comes my top denim picks. There is no other top in my closet that I favor more than my basic denim button up from American Apparel. It's chic, effortless, and never goes out of style. A basic denim jacket is another that I cannot live without. I prefer a vintage Levi's jacket as shown above, and you can score a fabulous one from eBay for under thirty bucks. Last but not least, is a great pair of denim shorts. Don't get me wrong, I love denim pants, but I love layering tights or socks with denim shorts more. Okay, enough about denim, I wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Years Eve!

Perfect Time Of Year

I am going to use this post to answer a few questions that I am asked very often. The thigh high socks that I wear in my posts are from american apparel, and can be purchased here. I wear my beanie in the winter months quite often because my ears are always really cold, so you will have to put up with it until it starts to warm up again, I'm sorry. I am a vegetarian and my diet consists of mainly tofu and vegetables, so this is partly why I have such a lean frame. The other part is that I am a very active person who never sits still. I work out five times per week and I walk everywhere, as I live in a downtown area where I do not need to drive. I find it silly that I need to explain this, but I am plagued with comments on me having anorexia on a daily basis, to the point that I had to turn anonymous comments off. You cannot assume that because someone is thin, that they have an eating disorder. We are a mirror image of everything that we judge and say. Positivity and confidence are the two best accessories a girl can wear! :)

I receive a lot of emails asking where I buy most of my vintage items. I score about 90% of them from eBay. You really have to do a ton of digging, but there are so many vintage gems that make it well worth it. I also recommend etsy for online vintage shopping. It's a little pricier than eBay, but in my opinion, you don't have to do as much digging. I recently discovered another amazing online vintage store, Deja Vu Vintage, where I scored the lovely dress that I'm wearing in this post. They have a ton of vintage designer finds that are to die for.

I scored this amazing jacket and vintage skirt from eBay the other week, and of course, they're black. I've been super obsessed with my PS1 bag lately. It has to be my favorite of all my bags. I lengthened the strap a bit, and I've been slinging it around my body like it's nobody's business. It tops off each outfit with an effortless appeal that I dig so much. He reminded me tonight, that I text him twice today letting him know how much I loved it, along with the other ten verbal times yesterday. Needless to say, we're going back tomorrow night. So, I totally decided against adding the remaining fifty spikes to my levi's vintage leather jacket, and I'm very glad that I did. I think the amount that I added keeps it edgy yet chic at the same time, which is generally my goal with every outfit that I style. The Acne boots that I'm rocking in this look are from last season. I scored them from eBay for about a third of the price at the end of last winter. Oh man, I love finding steals on eBay. It's seriously the most amazing high in the world. I think this will be my new go-to look for the upcoming winter months in Southern California. It's perfect, because I've been ignoring vintage shorts and t-shirt collection for far too long.

It's super long, so it can be tucked into high waist shorts, or worn with leggings, either way works. I also have to give mad props to Gold Saturn for designing the best turbands around. If I don't have something on my noggin, I totally feel naked. It's like leaving the house without pants for me, and that just doesn't happen.

I immediately went on a wild goose chase for a leather hole puncher, so I could begin installing these babies to my jacket right away. Three craft stores and two home stores later, I finally scored a puncher from home depot. I only added fifty and still have fifty left, as I wasn't sure if I wanted to totally gaga it out. After wearing it a few times, I'm definitely adding more this weekend. I'm thinking of adding a few to some vintage thermals, a belt, and hell, maybe even a pair of boots. I'm so in love with this dress from Felicee, that I own it in two colors. I love how it's super girly and modest from the front, and the back is totally open and risqué. The best of both worlds if you ask me. In the first photo, I'm rocking it with a bandeau bra from American Apparel, and in the second photo, I'm braless, just so you can see how fabulous the back is. The front is pretty sheer, so a bra is a must. That's a big bummer because a bra totally takes away from the lovely open back.

I use to rock these AA leggings at two times a week for almost an entire year. I decided to take a break for a few months, and now we're totally back on. I love mixing them with a look that is almost too safe just to create a little edge that I desire in all of my outfits. You really can't go wrong with anything from AA. Which reminds me, I need to make a trip there very soon!

So, after searching for quite some time, I finally found the perfect pair of moto boots to replace an old vintage pair that are on their way out. Finding the perfect moto boot is no easy task. I purchased so many vintage pairs on eBay that ended up being complete flops once they came in the mail. Oh, the perks of online vintage shopping. Anyhow, I am totally in love with my new JC France moto boots. JC nails it almost every time. Almost.

I finally broke down and bought the rocco bag about six weeks ago, and I'm totally in love with everything about it. The color is finally starting to grow on me, and I find myself wearing it more than my diego. The rocco compliments my wilma platforms perfectly, which is super awesome when I'm in a hurry and still want to look chic. A win-win if you ask me!

I purchased this lovely dress from Planet Blue in Venice Beach last year, and I neglected it for way too long. I went shopping in my closet last week, and I found it buried under a pile of denim. In a bad economy, shopping in your own closet is just the way to go. I tend to be such a little pack rat when it comes to my clothing. They say some of the best dressed people have very few items in their closet. I beg to differ.

Okay, this will officially be the last time you see me in this One Teaspoon top, well, at least for this season. I just couldn't help myself, as it topped off this lovely chiffon skirt that I received from Top Shop last week so nicely. Don't you think? On a side note, I really love this trail that I am on in the photos. It's so peaceful and serene. There's something really magical about this entire area, as I find myself gravitating towards shooting there daily. It also makes me want to dance, by myself, apparently.

Last weekend, I discovered the most amazing hat store a few blocks from my place, and I scored this amazing beanie by Brixton. I don't know if it's a good or bad that I stumbled across this store. My issues have issues when it comes to hats. For me, it's like leaving home without putting pants on, which is never, so yeah, you get the point. Oh, and mascara, I cannot leave home without putting mascara on, because I have no eyelashes, and everyone always asks me if I am sick if I am not wearing it. What are the things that you cannot leave your home without?

I seriously rock everything in this post at least three to five times a week, so I feel they needed a well deserved shout out. This wide brimmed wool hat that I purchased from NASTY GAL about four months ago, is by far the most bad ass hat that I own as it goes with just about everything. I've been wanting a light pink blazer for months, so when I stumbled across this one on NG's site, it was a no-brainer. I know the Senso Diffusion Wilma might be yesterdays news, but they finally went on sale at Karmaloop, and I couldn't resist and bought them. In my opinion, leopard print is timeless, so I see myself wearing these for years to come. Last but not least, I'm still in love with my Alexander Wang diego bag. I know it's been blogged to death, but I paid a pretty penny for this bag, and I plan on wearing it until the studs fall off, which is probably never. I bought the rocco duffle in brown last month, but I find myself still reaching for the diego when I'm topping off my outfit. What are some of your wardrobe staples that you cannot live without?

Even then, I still need a hat and some sort of jewelry to top off the look. I finally scored an eagle shadows bikini from one teaspoon, thanks to NASTY GAL. It not only makes a great bikini top, but a great layering piece too. Even though 4th of July is long and gone, you'll still see me rocking my American garb as I cannot get enough no matter how hard I try. I received these super rad American jeans today from Pretty Pennies, and I cannot wait to play around with them. Thanks for all of your comments concerning the JC leopard litas. The pair on NG are too spotty for me. I just noticed that Solestruck finally restocked my size in this pair and this is exactly what I was looking for.

I had such a wonderful productive day, hence the title of my blog. I decided today that I'm reverting back to my old "living this day like it's my last" ways. Today is truly a gift and I really feel so blessed and happy to be here. At times, I get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, that I lose track of the most two important things, which is loving and to be loved. Yes, I know, this is a fashion blog, so onto what I'm wearing and why. I received this lovely crochet number from eBay today, and for the price of fifteen dollars, I couldn't be happier. Lately, I've been into mixing prints, patterns, and metals that don't really go together, and I'm really digging the outcome. These new leopard Senso heels surprisingly go with every print and color in my entire closet. I'm now on a mission to find a pair of JC Litas in cheetah or leopard. I'll take either. I've been searching high and low and haven't had much luck. Any suggestions?

So about two years ago, I went on this crazy mission to find this skirt as I saw it online and just had to have it. I drove to Venice Beach from San Diego and dropped a nice chunk of cash on it at Planet Blue. It was too long so I had it taken up about two inches. After all that, you'd think I would be rocking the hell out of this skirt, right? Very wrong. Last night, I found it under a pile of denim that I haven't worn for about... two years. This skirt is so amazing, and I'm not quite sure how I forgot about it. We're all guilty of this, right? Or it is just me?

I'm obsessed with my Chaser T.Rex muscle tee so much that I'm contemplating buying a second one just to have a back up. I own many vintage rocker tees, and this one takes the cake, hands down. I layered it over another piece that I've been wearing with everything lately, my Free People viscose slip. If you don't already own the perfect slip for layering, I totally recommend this slip. It's so great under blazers, knit sweaters, and tees. I'm still searching for that perfect boot to replace my JC Litas, and so far, I've had no luck. I've been rocking these older YSL boots from a few years back, and they've surprisingly gone with my all of my outfits over the past few weeks. It looks like they will be in need of another sole replacement very soon!
