Selow

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

(Sunglasses - Sunday Somewhere, Jacket - Acne
Nano Speedy - Louis Vuitton, Denim - Vetements)

Selow bomber from Acne in muted pink perfection. Styled with this nano speedy that I adore because it looks borrowed from my four year old niece, LOL! Fits a phone, lipgloss, and a few cards, which lately is all I need so anything larger just doesn't make sense. Lucky me because many designers are offering a plethora of nano bags to choose from. xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Tank - Reformation, Necklace - Dylanlex,
Backpack - Stella McCartney, Denim - Vintage, Sandals - Acne)

Hey guys! How are you? Trying to get back into the swing of it after taking a few days off. This move is still kicking my ass. More space equals more problems and filling it has consumed me. Good news is I picked up a few new friends this week — a Madagascar Palm, Dracaena, and two 6' Kentia Palms. Crazy plant lady in training. Speaking of crazy — these boot/mule hybrid sandals from Acne are something special, right? Downfall is my feet slide forward creating undesirable french fry toe spillage (see last picture, ahem). xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Fedora - Rag & Bone, Tank - Oak, Blazer - Acne
Clutch - Givenchy, DIY Shorts - Saint Laurent, Derby Shoes - Saint Laurent)

Money, money, money! A statement blazer by Acne that I refuse to part ways with. Ever. But it's only tolerable a few times a year because the combination of print and color make me extremely uncomfortable. Layered with my preferred uniform on top and a failed attempt at DIY Saint Laurent chain jeans turned into shorts. xo

(Sunglasses - The Row, Jacket - Acne, Playsuit - Reformation, Bag - Celine,
Sandals - Stuart Weitzman)

Pretending like it's summer in a playsuit and sandals! But seriously, it's about eighty degrees in San Diego today! Was hoping that it would extend into the weekend so I could lounge at the beach sans multiple layers, but that's looking rather grim. Thinking it's a good weekend to start a new book. Any suggestions?

(Beanie - Rag & Bone, Lace Jersey - Givenchy, Jacket - Acne, Floral Clutch - Givenchy,
Denim - Paige, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Was never really a jersey girl until this lace style from Givenchy converted me. Fun fact behind this jersey is it's named after the label's resort menswear collection, Favelas, and Riccardo Tisci's birth year, 1974. Probably not the warmest option, but layered under a jacket it almost made sense. Fashion week thus far has been a plethora of so many of my favorites including houndstooth, feathers, ornate beading, leather, faux fur (mainly white), lace, laser cuts, and plaid. Still feeling a bit of a nineties vibe and no complaints here. I'm this years street style correspondent for Mercedes Benz, MBFW, so if you'd like to see what I've been up to, you can do so here

Mape

(Sunglasses - Celine, Tank - T By Alexander Wang, Mape Leather Jacket - Acne, Denim - AG,
Bag - Givenchy, Pumps - Jimmy Choo)

Somebody call the fashion police because I absolutely cannot get enough of a good tee and denim combo! Will forever be my go-to uniform when nothing else makes sense. There's nothing that layers better with this classic mape jacket from Acne, which I scored on a major sale over the holiday. I'll always find an excuse and this post is no exception. You should really make that call.

Enjoy your Monday!

(Sunglasses - The Row, Velocite Jacket - Acne, Tank - Pavonine, Bag - Saint Laurent,
Denim - Asos, Boots - Saint Laurent)

If I lived in a cooler climate, I swear I'd wear this jacket with everything. Trying to maximize its wear time with the few cold days that we have left. And this denim from Asos? They make more sense than any other denim when I'm getting dressed for the day. I think my knees are telling me that they like to breathe. The same silhouette in black arrived over the weekend, so that'll help break up some of the monotony. At least color wise.

Ten Twenty-Four

(Sunglasses - Celine, Sweater - Acne, Bag - Chanel, Denim - Genetic, Ora Boots - 3.1 Phillip Lim)

Props to Phillip Lim for designing one of the best over-the-knee boots of the season. It's been a challenge for me to find the perfect style that doesn't leave me feeling like I just walked off the set of Pretty Woman. The Thor-like details keep these boots on the non-sexy side which makes them a more universal style that can be worn during the day as well. They come in an equally as gorgeous cognac color. Highly recommend.

Happy Thursday!

(Sunglasses - The Row, Top - Reformation, Currency Blazer - Acne, Bag - Celine,
Trousers - Parker, Loafers - Loeffler Randall

I scored this blazer on sale while shopping in San Francisco a few months back. The goal was to wear this look for NYFW, but that never happened, so yesterday seemed like a good time for its debut. For me, prints either need to be classic or unexpectedly off the wall to grab my attention. This eclectic print from Acne delivers the latter of the two and has left me craving more pieces from this collection.

Happy Sunday!
