Trouble trouble trouble at the Desert Hills outlets in Cabazon. Picked up this Gucci dress from winter '14 and was hoping for some Alessandro but no such luck (yet). Can't stop obsessing over everything Gucci since he's taken the reins (especially men's RTW). His use of lace, embroidery, and the prints! are a few of my favorites. The costume jewelry is just wow. All of it. I'm hooked. xo

Esther

I'm pretty sure my Mum had a similar top from the nineties. Her wardrobe was much cooler (and sexier) than mine, so I always snuck my favorites whenever I could. Found a high school photo last week and I was in a total look from my Mum's wardrobe — a crop top and high-waist shorts that were belted awkwardly at the waist because they were a few sizes too big. Man, the time just goes. xo

Always walk out of American Apparel feeling like I hit the jackpot! The prices are so good and they have basics for days. This choker top was the bait, but I ended up leaving with a bunch of other stuff that I'll eventually need. Oh and they make disco tanks now! Picked up a few of those. xo

Slip

Schlepped around yesterday in these chunky chelsea boots from Yang Li. Super comfortable with a wildly high platform — SOLD! Thinking of upgrading for fall to Wang's combat moon hybrid boots. They crazy, I know. Oozing with so much nostalgia circa my high school Hot Topic days. Way too good not to dab just one more time. xo

Statement Necklace

LOVE a good statement necklace! With a wardrobe filled with pretty basic pieces it just makes sense. Included are a few different ways that I've channeled my inner Mr. T. When in doubt, a clean tank always works. xo

Stella

Elyse Walker in Pacific Palisades is trouble trouble trouble! More so than the online boutique because they carry even more designers. Picked up this look with the help of their super attentive stylists. Highly recommend if you're in the area, but I did warn you — it's trouble. xo

High-Rise

This new high-rise style from Saint Laurent pretty much rivals any pair of vintage Levi's that I have on hand. Highly highly recommend if you're into this style. Superb for shortening a longer torso and creating legs for days. Styled with all black everything. Tgif! xo

Silent

It's been a minute Urban-O! Friday night comic-con people watching session ended in a little retail therapy at the local Urban Outfitters. Purchased enough bras to hold my breasts for a lifetime. One being this cage number that reminds me of a One Teaspoon style that I lost a few summers back. And this mock-neck bare sided muscle tank? Such a genius silhouette. xo

Knox

Man, I still can't believe that I've succumb to this overall trend! Literally swore to many friends that I wouldn't be caught dead in these suckers, and well, here I'm alive and standing. Suppose it took the right cut in conjunction with the fabric being leather to completely sell me. I mean, everything is better in leather. Kept it on the grungy side with appropriate styling. xo

Two Piece

Two piece sets are sweet for those days when you don't have the energy to pull a look together. Pretty close to impossible to fudge the styling. Take a sexy two piece and pair it with quite the opposite footwear to make it wearable for daytime. Edge it up with bold accessories. xo

Thanks to Proenza Schouler for providing me with the platform (pun intended) to experience what it's like to be 6'2 in this surprisingly comfortable design. Definitely one of those impractical impulsive purchases (these'll look great on a shelf) that somehow turned out to be pretty practical. Evokes 80's nostalgia in the best way possible. xo
