Made In America Festival

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Tank - American Eagle, Bag - Chanel
Hi-Rise Denim - American Eagle, Boots - Chanel)

Attended the Made In America festival last weekend with American Eagle. When interviewed by a media outlet, I was asked to describe my festival look, and I answered, "Lara Croft Tomb Raider chic". Speaking without a filter can be good and bad — hoping not the latter in this instance. A few of my favorite performances were Iggy Azalea and Sublime With Rome. Thanks to American Eagle for having me and fitting me in the best second skin mom jeans any festival girl could ask for. xo

Sia

(Sia Leather Vest - Paige, Sunglasses - Chanel, Denim - Paige
Bag - Chanel, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Threw together a few Paige staples and heading out to play for a bit with some friends. I've caught a bad habit of knotting up anything that'll permit lately. Front, side, back, I don't discriminate. Action packed two weeks starts tomorrow: Made In America festival, NYFW, and then off to Sedona for a wellness retreat. Beyond stoked the latter. Ready to turn it down for a bit. xo

Absence

Thursday, August 21, 2014

(Sunglasses - Balmain, Sweater - MM6 Maison Martin Margiela
Trousers - Gucci, Bag - Chanel, Sandals - Gucci)

In the sweetest MM6 knit designed exclusively for Net-a-Porter. Adorned with slit cuffs as a pretty cool option to be worn over the hands. Third photo would've showcased that but I fudged it by placing my hands in my pockets. Wore it with the most reliable combo of the season from the waist down. Six times and counting. Thank you Gucci! xo

On The Road

Friday, August 15, 2014

(Fine Jewelry by Pamela Love)

On the road last weekend with LoveGold where I shot the second part of our Wanderlust series. Broke out of my structured bubble for a little spontaneity. Have always preferred car over plane where time is irrelevant and the destination unknown. Give me tacky souvenirs, music, and bonding vs. pretzels, snoring seat mates, and dehydration — any day! Took the historic Route 66 to Arizona and then back to Santa Monica. Made a few pit stops at some pretty sweet rustic locations to snap these Pamela Love pieces that were made for road trippin'. xo

Sasha

(Sasha Jacket - Cleobella, Tank - Oak, Bra - T by Alexander Wang
Shorts - Vintage, Bag - Chanel

'Tis the season for fringe and nobody does it better than my friends over at Cleobella. Yesterday in their Sasha caplet adorned with the sweetest metallic lace embellishments. Kept the styling minimal and let this stunner do all the talking (and moving). xo

High-Rise

Friday, August 8, 2014

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Choker - Balenciaga, Tank - L'Agence
Denim - Saint Laurent, Clutch - Givenchy, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

This new high-rise style from Saint Laurent pretty much rivals any pair of vintage Levi's that I have on hand. Highly highly recommend if you're into this style. Superb for shortening a longer torso and creating legs for days. Styled with all black everything. Tgif! xo

Destroyed

Tuesday, August 5, 2014

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Top - Saint Laurent, Bag - Chanel, Scarf - Saint Laurent
Denim - Saint Laurent, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Finally got my hands on these destroyed jeans from my all-time favorite! Celebrated by styling them with every Saint Laurent item that I own. Kidding, but I came pretty close. Hedi Slimane just does it for me when it comes to basics with an edgy twist. His collections are cohesive and most importantly, interchangeable. Forever my designer crush. xo

Cut-Out

Friday, July 25, 2014

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Top via Nordstrom Rack - The Kooples, Clutch - Givenchy
Denim via Nordstrom Rack - Rag & Bone, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

I've partnered with Nordstrom Rack this month to highlight two of their product trends, cut-outs and denim. Their Mission Valley location has the sweetest selection of designer goods ever. Picked up this cut-out top from The Kooples and saved two hundred bucks! Another killer find — these tassel-adorned stretch denim from Rag & Bone. Actually tried them on at Fashion Valley last season when they were full price. Made them mine the second time around at sixty-percent off! You can now shop Nordstrom Rack online, where you can find the same sweet deals and brands that they're notorious for in-store. xo
