This was my look from the event that I hosted at Neiman Marcus on Saturday. Instantly fell in love with this tuxedo jacket from Robert Rodriguez, so leaving without it was not an option. Naturally, these python pants from the same designer complimented the jacket perfectly, so I ended up with an almost total Robert look. The best detail on this jacket is the low front/high back. Props to Robert for putting an awesome twist on what could've potentially been an ordinary tuxedo jacket.

Beyond smitten with this two piece navy velvet suit from Bec & Bridge. The pictures really do not do this suit justice. It's such a deep rich navy in person, so soft and buttery. A perfect work look for yesterday's meetings and dinner. I layered it with very reliable staples from Saint Laurent and Jimmy Choo.

I've teamed up with Neiman Marcus, and I'll be hosting an in-store styling event, at the Fashion Valley location, this Saturday, the 28th. This insane leather jacket from Theory was calling name from the minute I spotted it in the Cusp department, so it was a no-brainer. I layered it with a high quality Rag & Bone basic and classic trousers from Robert Rodriguez.

Blazer Dress

I've been coveting this Haute Hippie blazer dress for almost a year, so it was a no-brainer when Forward stocked it in my size a few weeks ago. Black was almost an option but someone already beat me to the punch, so I settled for the ivory only. Highly recommend this piece (if you can find it) and would size up two sizes so it can be worn as a dress. I layered with very reliable staples.

I teamed up with Levi's and Elle Magazine to style a look for my last day of fashion week. I visited their meatpacking store to make my selections and was immediately drawn to this 1960's one-off vintage jacket. The front and back detailing are tightly woven strips of vintage kimono. Pretty cool, right? So this piece was a no-brainer. I decided to keep the bottoms very minimal and chose their modern demi curve skinny denim in ultra black. Topped off with very reliable staples for a super chic look.

I teamed up with AG to put some of their chic basics to the test from their fall 2013 collection. I chose their scoop neck henley and beau cords because they're classic pieces with a modern sensibility. This collection was inspired by the streets of New York City in the 1980's with a hint of modern military aesthetic. High quality timeless basics are definitely my thing and AG delivers just.

Remember the hat mission that I was on a few weeks ago? It ended when I stumbled across a few Maison Michel styles on Matches Fashion. Ordered this style and an equally as awesome oxblood fedora, and my hat collection is complete for now. Wore this navy Fara style with a very minimal BCBG fall 2103 runway dress to shows and meetings yesterday. The Mara Hoffman show was full of vivid color, gorgeous bohemian prints, and unique embroidery. Herve Leger nailed it again by mixing in leather and zippers into their iconic bandage silhouettes. DVF Glam Rock

I recently teamed up with Diane von Furstenberg to style a few pieces from her Glam Rock Collection. Being a lover of jumpsuits, I naturally gravitated towards this Lucy style that also comes in an equally as awesome printed version. Yesterday's super chill look for Labor Day in which I spent most a majority of my holiday working my tail end off. I did take a little break for a torta and acai bowl at one of my favorite spots, Senor Mango's. I leave for New York tomorrow and I'm frantically trying to pull it together because my flight literally leaves at dawn. Are you guys attending fashion week this season? I've been working away the holiday weekend in preparation for fashion week. Needed a break today and indulged in a little stress eating lunch/dessert session at one of my favorite local spots, Zanzibar. Wearing all recycled pieces with the exception of the newest addition to my sunnies collection, brushed silver clubmaster awesomeness from Ray-Ban. I've been fond of this style since my teens, but had never found a color/size that fit my face properly until now. Something about this newer brushed silver style really works for me. Softening magic.
