(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Jacket - Haider Ackermann, Clutch - Givenchy
Trousers - Burberry Prorsum, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Major luck on eBay lately! This spring 2012 Haider Ackermann runway find pretty much made my last week. Two hundred dollar offer accepted on this piece that retailed for twenty times more is one stellar deal! Going to have a hard time paying full retail for anything after this one. xo

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Bag - Chanel, Top - Donna Karan,
Tweed Shorts - Chanel, Boots - Sergio Rossi)

Waiting list dream shorts that someone graciously returned to Neiman's before my NYFW shopping frenzy. The kicker? Last call deal at sixty-five percent off! Edged them up with a perfectly slashed turtleneck from Donna Karan and all black accessories. xo

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Top - Reformation,
Knox Overalls - Cleobella, Boots - Balenciaga)

Man, I still can't believe that I've succumb to this overall trend! Literally swore to many friends that I wouldn't be caught dead in these suckers, and well, here I'm alive and standing. Suppose it took the right cut in conjunction with the fabric being leather to completely sell me. I mean, everything is better in leather. Kept it on the grungy side with appropriate styling. xo

Two Piece

Friday, July 11, 2014

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Two Piece - For Love & Lemons, Boots - Balenciaga)

Two piece sets are sweet for those days when you don't have the energy to pull a look together. Pretty close to impossible to fudge the styling. Take a sexy two piece and pair it with quite the opposite footwear to make it wearable for daytime. Edge it up with bold accessories. xo

Destructed

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Top - Bec & Bridge, Bag - Chanel, Belt - Saint Laurent
Denim - Maurie & Eve, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi! Piled on two of my favorite Aussie designers yesterday in a flash and somehow ended up with cohesion (or not? I don't bite). It's never fun getting dressed pretty much blindfolded, and in turn, making others feel that they wish they had a blindfold when you walk into your Wednesday night Thai spot. Hoping the latter did not happen last night.

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Choker - Vanessa Mooney, Denim Top - Calvin Klein,
Cami - Clover Canyon, Shorts - Rails, Clutch - Givenchy, Sandals - Celine)

Hello spring! Or summer if you're in Southern California — record breaking high today of ninety-five plus. Inspired to break out of my bubble and head to the beach here in a few. Onto my look — have never really been a floral girl but these shorts from Rails have pretty much converted me. Wore them with a perfect neoprene cami from Clover Canyon and recycled sandals and accessories. xo

Denim On Denim Two Ways

Monday, March 24, 2014

(Look One: Top - Paige, Pants - Rag & Bone,
Look Two: Vest - Rag & Bone, Tank - Rag & Bone, Shorts - Rag & Bone,
Sandals - Stuart Weitzman)

I recently teamed up with Bloomingdale's and Who What Wear to style two denim on denim looks from their spring 2014 denim trends. Spring's runways staged a major comeback in head-to-toe denim. True blue hues washed up on everything from chambray shirts, lived-in jackets, patchwork pencils and more. When it comes to styling double denim, I'm a big fan of mixing washes. Whether it's light on top and dark on bottom, or vice versa, it creates more of an effortless non-uniformed look. Also like to mix textures and fabric weight to steer clear of being too matchy-matchy. One of the hottest trends for spring/summer 2014 — have fun with it!

Studded

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Bag - Chanel, Denim - Saint Laurent,
Belt - Rodarte, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Fell in love with this ginormous studded belt from Rodarte when I spotted on their S/S 2014 runway. Swear I had something almost identical in high school  — wish I'd saved it. Snatched it up last month with the inspiration being Coachella. Plan on layering it over shorts, maxi skirts, etc. Anyone heading to Coachella in April?

Happy Wednesday! xo

Three Seventeen

Monday, March 17, 2014

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Playsuit - Reformation, Top - Rails, Bag - Celine, Boots - Balenciaga)

Layered in recycled pieces with the exception of my newest sunglasses from Linda Farrow. Love a good cat eye and the fact that they're wrapped in matte leather makes me love them even more. If you're in the market for a new cat eye — highly recommend this style. Very convinced that Linda Farrow designs and constructs some of the best sunglasses in the world.

Black + Grey

(Cashmere Sweater - Iris & Ink, Biker Jacket - Iris & Ink, Skinny Mid-Rise Denim - Iris & Ink)

For the third part of my collaboration with THE OUTNET, I chose to style a few pieces from their in house brand, Iris & Ink. Naturally gravitated towards this textured biker jacket — the more zippers the better. Layered with a fine-knit cashmere sweater and black skinny denim for a rocker-chic look. Topped off with very reliable black accessories.

Check out the rest of the Iris & Ink spring collection here.

Enjoy your Wednesday! xo
