Almost Black

(Sunglasses - Celine, Jacket - R13, Tank - Rick Owens, Bag - Proenza Schouler,
Pants - Rich & Skinny, Boots - Rag & Bone)

The weather was a little gloomy today, so I played along in this darkish monochromatic color scheme. I'm officially convinced that Rick Owens makes the best fitting basics on the planet. Kinda feel spoiled now and not sure how any other tank can possibly compare to this one. Sounds rather dramatic but it is what it is. I would love to buy it in every color, but that's not going to happen for the crazy ticket price of a basic. Definitely a collection that I'm going to have to acquire in moderation, but positively worth every penny.

Have a rad Wednesday!

Monday

Monday, April 29, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Torn By Ronny Kobo, Denim - Rich & Skinny, Bag - Givenchy,
Pumps - Christian Louboutin)

I arrived back in San Diego early this afternoon from my weekend escape with the Juicy Couture team. I had the amazing opportunity of capturing behind the scenes footage of the Juicy summer escape campaign whilst enjoying a mini vacation in the charming island of Puerto Rico. I had a surf lesson with an amazing pro who taught me a few tricks, and even had me standing up on a few waves — even if it was at the wrong time, lol. Definitely the most action packed two days of my life. I've counted about fourteen hours of sleep since last Thursday night, so excuse me while I sign off and hopefully crash until work tomorrow morning.

Have a great week!

Tropical Escape

Friday, April 26, 2013

I'm traveling through Monday with the Juicy Couture team for a mini tropical escape! Since it's such a short trip, the key was to pack lightly and fit everything into one carry on. Packing smart yet still fashionable was definitely a challenge. I even surprised myself when I managed to accomplish this. My packing list is comprised of all of the above plus one of each of the following: handbag, sunglasses, bikini, shorts, denim pants, black boots, sneakers, flats, sweater, button-up, white tee, dress, playsuit, blazer, belt, and bare minimum make-up/skincare essentials. This is a first for me, so I'll let you know how I go with this skeleton packing list.

If you'd like to follow my adventures with the Juicy Couture team via instagram, you can do that here. And for more behind the scenes photos with Juicy, you can check in on their instagram here.

Enjoy your weekend!

Seth Jumpsuit

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Seth Jumpsuit - Etoile Isabel Marant, Wedge Sandals - Burberry)

I tried on this jumpsuit a few months back at my favorite local SD boutique, Tucci, and didn't end up purchasing it because I was in full blown blouse mode at the time. Of course when I left, I couldn't stop thinking about how ridiculously comfortable and adorable it was. I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to jumpsuits. I generally love them on everyone else but me. Same goes for overalls. But something about this style really felt like me, so I took the plunge, and it's one of the best purchases that I've made in a long time. It's wonderful for running errands, dog walks, etc. Highly recommend if you've been after a comfy jumpsuit for spring/summer. It comes in an awesome rouge and petral color as well.

Happy Wednesday!

Four Twenty-One

Sunday, April 21, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Tank - Givenchy, Jacket - A.N.D., Bag - Givenchy,
Denim - A.N.D., Boots - Rag & Bone)

I ordered these boots online last month, and definitely loved them more online than when I put them on my feet. Oh, the perks of online shopping. Instead of wearing them around the house, I was a dummy and wore them outside, only to decide that I didn't like them even more. Like going outside was going to do anything beyond making them a final sale, lol. I made them my Coachella boots and called it a day. On Coachella day two, sleepwalking on my way to coffee, I had them on and forgot to buckle them. That's when, I saw the silver lining. They look so rad unbuckled! Making them now my favorite boots! Oh the humanity!

Enjoy your week!

Four Nineteen

Friday, April 19, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Stray Hearts, Bracelet & Bag - Balenciaga, Shorts - A.N.D.,
Shoes - Vans

Today was definitely one of those days when dressing for comfort was not an option. I ran all of my weekend errands today since I'll be in meetings and working through Sunday evening. I'm still so far behind from Coachella. Taking a vacation literally sets me back as many days as I take off. It's crazy that I'm actually at a point where I'd rather be working than taking a vacation. Even when I'm on vacation, I'm literally working until every connection fails me.

Enjoy your weekend!

Those Basics

Thursday, April 18, 2013

(From Top Left: 1. Spendid Cotton T-shirt, 2. R13 Low Rise Skinny Jeans,
3. Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses, 4. Isabel Marant Necklace, 5. Saint Laurent Cabas Bag,
6. Saint Laurent Suede Ankle Boots)

First, let's talk about these boots. I've had my eye on them since they hit Net-A-Porter a few months ago. My size was initially available, but then sold out the next day. Such a classic style with endless styling possibilities, and I'm kicking myself in the butt for not taking the plunge when I first spotted them. Also, sold out on Barney's and Ssense in my size. Bummed. The rest are some rad pieces that I've been coveting, these skinny jeans from R13 that I tried on and should've bought, and this Saint Laurent Cabas bag that will most likely be my next bag purchase. The above is generally my basic uniform when all else fails. Gotta love those basics.

Happy Thursday!

Coachella Weekend Photo Diary

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Last weekend, I had the cool opportunity of hosting the BCBG & Benefit Cosmetics party at the beauty bungalow in Coachella. I definitely thought that I had multi-tasking mastered to an art, until last weekend. There's an overwhelming amount of stuff going on in addition to the most important part, the festival itself. After hosting the first day, I was exhausted, and had the beauty bungalow all to myself, so I stayed in, made breakfast for dinner, and did some hot tubbing. On day two, I hosted, hit up a few parties, and made it to the festival to meet up with some friends and catch a few shows. On the third day, I did a little work, and chilled at the bungalow, and took complete advantage of the rad scenery and pool. We then headed to the festival, only to experience the most insane dust storm that I've ever encountered. If you were there, you're probably nodding your head as you're reading this. After four years of attending, Coachella never disappoints. Although, nothing will ever compare to the headliner surprise finale of Coachella 2012.

Novak Jacket

Monday, April 15, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Novak Jacket - BCBG, Blouse - Bella Dahl, Denim - A.N.D., Bag - Givenchy, Pumps - Christian Louboutin)

When I left coachella this afternoon, it was seventy-five and sunny, so I left in shorts and a tank not thinking that it would be fifty-nine and freezing when I arrived back to San Diego. Decided to run a few errands before I arrived home, and my heated seats definitely came in handy in between stops. I actually had a hoodie in my trunk, but didn't have the patience to dig through the unorganized chaos from my trip. On a warmer note, I piled on all the above as soon as I walked in the door and headed straight into work. Still awe stricken by this beyond rad novak runway jacket from BCBG. This is definitely a piece that I'm never willing to part ways with.

Shopbop is having their friends and family event starting today. Please enjoy code WEAREFAMILY13 for 20% off your entire order through 4/18.

Hope your week's off to a great start!

Four Twelve

Friday, April 12, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Bag - Balenciaga, Shorts - Isabel Marant,
Boots - Rag & Bone)

I was trying to hold off on wearing the above until this weekend, but yesterday, I caved. I walked into my closet, sleepy, puzzled, in dire need of some caffeine, with these two insanely rad pieces staring me in the face. It was a no-brainer — until I walked outside, that is. One of those days when you look out the window, assume it's warm because it's sunny, and then you walk outside and it's twenty degrees lower than what you dreamt up in your head. I definitely had one of those. Brrrrr.

Happy Friday!

Wednesday

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Blazer - French Connection, Top - Bella Luxx, Belt - Isabel Marant,
Denim - A.N.D., Bag - Givenchy, Pumps - Christian Louboutin)

This was my dinner and a movie look from yesterday, and I definitely switched out the pumps for flats directly after dinner. This entire look is recycled, with the exception of this cozy tee from Bella Luxx. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not purchasing the matching red pants to this blazer. I'm grabbing for it every other week, and it would've been nice to throw the pants into the mix when styling it. I just love the statement that a red suit makes. Any red suits out there that are noteworthy? Do tell.

Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Bianca

Monday, April 8, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Bella Dahl, Bag - Chanel, Shorts - Etoile Isabel Marant,
Pumps - Christian Louboutin

I've been stocking up on Etoile Isabel Marant S/S 2013 pieces for spring/summer. Totally love the Bianca Jagger 70's feel from which she drew her inspiration when designing this collection. I was torn between the shorts vs. the flares in this print, so I stopped by the boutique on Melrose and that definitely helped in aiding my decision. The flare pants were a little too loud on me, and mad props to anyone who can pull them off — wish I could. I opted for a pair of flares from the main line that are pretty rad, with her notorious lace up detailing and mini paisley print. Really looking forward to styling some of the pieces from her fall 2013 collection. Definitely more of a minimal collection than what we're used to, but still looks very Marant when it comes to details.

Happy Monday!

Souvenir Jacket

Friday, April 5, 2013

(Souvenir Jacket - 3.1 Phillip Lim, Sunglasses - Celine, Tee - Bassike, Belt - Isabel Marant,
Denim - A.N.D., Bag - Givenchy, Pumps - Christian Loboutin

I broke down, literally, and purchased this beyond rad souvenir jacket from 3.1 Phillip Lim. I was in a local boutique here in San Diego, Tucci, and tried it on, but they didn't have my size. I was actually relieved because the ticket was a little unrealistic for a lightweight bomber jacket. I then began to rationalize all the different styling possibilities, and the fact that it's not trendy at all (the embroidery screams a far east vintage find, or maybe that's me justifying the ticket). By the time that I decided to take the plunge, I couldn't find it anywhere — sold out. A week later, I was notified that my size was restocked, and not all sizes, just one size four. Meant to be? I think so. On a denim note, I've worn these pants in three of my last five posts, but who's counting?

Have a fantastic weekend!

Festival Ready

Thursday, April 4, 2013

With Coachella being just a week away, I thought I would put together a few looks to hopefully inspire you when styling your looks for the festival or festival season in general. I personally own the Isabel Marant Jenny boots, and they are the most comfortable boots that I own. I'm actually planning on wearing them all three days, so that's why I recommend them above for both looks. Any flat slouchy boot would make a perfect substitute.

I think the first look is definitely more practical and easy to achieve. From my experience, most women have a basic blouse and some type of shorts whether they are printed or plain denim. I really love the idea of embellishments because I think they scream festival, so if you have any embellished pieces to incorporate into the first look, whether it be a bag or boots, I'd totally do it. I would narrow your sunnies down to one or two pairs that are universal and can be worn throughout the weekend. I also recommend a wide brimmed floppy hat or fedora to top off the look.

For the second look, it's no secret that overalls are the trend of the season. If it's something that you're comfortable with and can pull off, I say do it. You can layer them with a plain tee as shown above or even a gauzy blouse. I'd keep this look simple when it comes to hair and accessories. I'd go for a high messy bun, sunnies, and a cross body bag. Let the overalls do all the talking.

I'll be attending coachella weekend one. If you see me, come say "hi" and don't be a stranger! If you have any questions at all in regards styling looks for the festival, reply here or send me an email, and I would love to help.

Happy almost Friday!

Neutral

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

(Fedora - Rag & Bone, Raglan Sweater - Bella Luxx, Bag - Givenchy, Denim - A.N.D.,
Brogues - Asos

I'm so smitten with my black raglan from Bella Luxx, that I ordered it in the above combo last week. And I managed to remove the belt stain from my white denim, so I wore them again today sans the belt. I definitely did a ton of errand running today, so my reliable brogues from Asos got me from A to B quicker than my pumps would've, and my feet feel just wonderful as I type this. I'm usually hitting up Adrian for a foot rub at this point. If he connects the two, he'll probably take me flat shopping this weekend, lol.

Happy Tuesday!

Beach Day

Monday, April 1, 2013

(Garbo Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Ivy Shorts - Etoile Isabel Marant)

I spent as much of my Easter as I could on the beach, until the the cold crept in after sunset and ran me off. Six hours later and I'm still thawing out. After the beach, I headed to my favorite spot for dinner, Plumeria, which actually turned into take out, because it was cutting it too close to the season finale of The Walking Dead. Are any of you into this series? There's actually an xbox game out that I'm tempted to buy to hold me over until the fourth season starts in October.

Have a rad week!
