Vetements Dress & Boots

This frock was inspired by the aprons worn by Demna Gvasalia's Grandmother.... and I can dig it.

Rodeo

Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Earrings - Céline, Dress - Vetements
Clutch - Céline, Rodeo Boots - Céline

In a cozy knit that I nabbed from Net-a-porter's bi-annual sale. Styled with my mains from Céline and new rodeo boots that are the greatest thing since sliced bread. xo

Sweat

Monday, March 28, 2016

Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Hoodie - Vetements,
Pants - Vetements, Boots - Vetements

Sweats have been my jam since forever. It's what I wear on most days hence the reason I don't always share. Picked up these fancy sock boots to rotate in with my sock/slide combination (which my best friend refers to as dreadful and embarrassing). It's so comfortable though! And addicting. xo

Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Bag - Gucci
Dress - Solace London, Mules - Gucci

Semi-sheer dress with built-in goody blockers? I think so. Generally steer clear of this style because I don't want to fuss with what I'm going to style under it. Solace London nailed it with a few different options from their Tome 9 collection. Give them a go if that's your jam. xo

Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Choker - Balenciaga, Dress - Gucci
Bag - Dior, Boots - Proenza Schouler

Trouble trouble trouble at the Desert Hills outlets in Cabazon. Picked up this Gucci dress from winter '14 and was hoping for some Alessandro but no such luck (yet). Can't stop obsessing over everything Gucci since he's taken the reins (especially men's RTW). His use of lace, embroidery, and the prints! are a few of my favorites. The costume jewelry is just wow. All of it. I'm hooked. xo

Straps

Sunday, November 29, 2015

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Choker - Versace
Top - Balmain, Trousers - Nomia)

This is the top that I DIY'd here a few months back. Last week I removed the stitches and gave it a whirl for one last hurrah to Indian summer (I think). Styled with these Nomia trousers that I picked up from the Forward sale and superstars to balance out the top half. xo

Season One

(Full look - Yeezy)

It might seem depressing at first glance or ordinary to some but Kanye's collaboration with Adidas is genius. His post-apocalyptic vision is wearable — he's taken basics and twisted them with distressing and cuts that I find relatable and refreshing. I schlepp in this kinda stuff every day and it's a challenge to find fashionable pieces like Yeezy. The quality and construction of the garments are highly commendable — up to par with my Rick and Haider pieces and worth the price which was a major concern for many. These are my thoughts — how do you feel about season one? xo

Boy

Friday, November 6, 2015

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Blazer - Balmain, Top - Nicholas
Trousers - Helmut Lang, Mini Pandora - Givenchy, Creepers - Anne Thomas)

Wassup says the shaka sign that I'm unintentionally waving in the second photo (ha I just noticed that). It's been awhile since I've posted an all black look so here I am. Have been wearing these new shiny creepers from Anne Thomas since Wednesday and the rest of the look consists of very very loved reliables that have been around. xo

Open

Thursday, October 29, 2015

(Earrings - Céline, Open Knit - Chalayan, Clutch - Céline,
Ring - Karma El Khalil, Denim - Vetements, Heels - Céline)

Open and deconstructed in a Chalayan knit and Vetements denim. Two designers that I've grown fond of due to their clever cuts and unpredictable deconstruction of classic staples. Both constantly taking risks and not taking it too seriously make them all the more appealing in the sea of sameness. xo

(Speckled Sweatshirt - True Religion, Flare Legging - True Religion)

I've partnered with True Religion this season for the launch of the new runway collection. Here I'm wearing the runway flare legging — a new curve hugging style that creates the illusion of never-ending legs. Styled with this active-inspired sweatshirt that's versatile to dress up or down, and offers effortless style with ultra-luxe comfort. Topped off with gold accessories and superstars. xo

Esther

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Esther Top - Trois, Backpack - Balenciaga
Denim - Vintage, Slides - Givenchy)

I'm pretty sure my Mum had a similar top from the nineties. Her wardrobe was much cooler (and sexier) than mine, so I always snuck my favorites whenever I could. Found a high school photo last week and I was in a total look from my Mum's wardrobe — a crop top and high-waist shorts that were belted awkwardly at the waist because they were a few sizes too big. Man, the time just goes. xo

Blue Suede

Thursday, August 20, 2015

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Top - Reformation, Bag - Saint Laurent
Skirt - Reformation, Boots - Saint Laurent)

It's one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, now go, cat, go. But don't you step on my blue suede skirt. You can do anything but lay off my blue suede skirt ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫. Pretty cliché but seems fitting considering this is my first blue suede purchase. Disclosure: I may or may not have altered the King's lyrics. xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Necklace - Luv Aj, Tank - Trois,
Denim - Vintage, Bag - Louis Vuitton, Mules - Céline)

Stayed basic on Saturday night in Levi's and a tank. Repeated on Sunday because it was convenient and fuss-free. So hard to resist the look from the night before when it's staring you in the face. That happens to me more often than not. Real talk. xo
