Had to own something backless from the Maison Martin Margiela spring 2014 show. This vest was my first choice, but the above was a more practical option. And these faux cashmere sleeves? So daring and definitely on my radar. Maybe I'll pick them up for the Bon Jovi concert next month!

Three Twenty-Seven

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban via Nordstrom Rack, Sweater - Style Stalker, Bag - Celine, Shorts - Vintage, Creepers - Miu Miu)

Partnered up with Nordstrom Rack and attended their private shopping event in San Francisco earlier this month. Walked away with three pairs of designer sunglasses (current season) for under two hundred dollars. Was so inspired that I stopped by the local NR's here in San Diego and picked up two additional pairs — these Ray-Ban aviators and a pair of wire-rimmed Miu Miu's. A perfect crop for spring from Kenzo. Originally planned for Coachella, but I jumped the gun and wore it yesterday with one of my most recent thrifting finds — these eighties high-waisted Levi's. For years I couldn't find that perfect pair but somehow found four over the last few months? Levi's luck for sure.

Denim On Denim Two Ways

I recently teamed up with Bloomingdale's and Who What Wear to style two denim on denim looks from their spring 2014 denim trends. Spring's runways staged a major comeback in head-to-toe denim. True blue hues washed up on everything from chambray shirts, lived-in jackets, patchwork pencils and more. When it comes to styling double denim, I'm a big fan of mixing washes. Whether it's light on top and dark on bottom, or vice versa, it creates more of an effortless non-uniformed look. Also like to mix textures and fabric weight to steer clear of being too matchy-matchy. One of the hottest trends for spring/summer 2014 — have fun with it!

This one's for all the instagrammers who call me out on my overly loved black Saint Laurent tassel bag. Always keeping me on my toes — inspiring me to break up the monotony. I know, it's essentially the same bag, but some things are truly better in twos.

Ruffled

A few highlights from Alexander Wang's spring 2014 show were schoolgirl-like ruffled pleats and oversized menswear pieces. Wouldn't have considered such a feminine top if it weren't for the inspiration of layering it with such masculine trousers. Took one size up on the trousers to ensure that they were perfectly oversized. Layered with minimal black accessories.

Studded

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Top - Etoile Isabel Marant, Bag - Chanel, Denim - Saint Laurent,
Belt - Rodarte, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Fell in love with this ginormous studded belt from Rodarte when I spotted on their S/S 2014 runway. Swear I had something almost identical in high school  — wish I'd saved it. Snatched it up last month with the inspiration being Coachella. Plan on layering it over shorts, maxi skirts, etc. Anyone heading to Coachella in April?

Three Seventeen

Layered in recycled pieces with the exception of my newest sunglasses from Linda Farrow. Love a good cat eye and the fact that they're wrapped in matte leather makes me love them even more. If you're in the market for a new cat eye — highly recommend this style. Very convinced that Linda Farrow designs and constructs some of the best sunglasses in the world.
