One Three

Monday, February 3, 2014

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - American Apparel, Coat - Zara, Denim - Levi's, Bag - Celine,
Pumps - Jimmy Choo)

I've been on a crop top bender for at least a year now, at least. Layered this crop from AA underneath a jacket for dinner and then a little disco afterwards. Favorite combination for nights like last Saturday. Pulled my trapeze out of hibernation for the first time in way too long. Smaller bags have always made more sense since I really don't carry that much stuff with me. Larger bags have always been more of a statement piece versus actually stuffing them to capacity. Phony bologna handbag behavior — Guilty.

Cuffed

Saturday, November 23, 2013

(Fedora - Maison Michel, Sweater - Zara, Pants - Tart Collections, Bag - Givenchy,
Boots - Isabel Marant)

The day before I made this sweater mine, I was drooling over the original at the Celine store in Beijing. The unexpected messy large cuffs really won me over. Refreshingly different. Being somewhat of a minimalist, it's the small details like this that I crave. I resisted the temptation of owning it in every color. Very proud of myself. Baby steps.

Eleven Twenty

(Sunglasses - Saint Laurent, Sweater - Reformation, Bag - Chanel, Coat - Zara, Denim - AG,
Shoes - Celine)

The weather was much colder than forecasted in Beijing, and no complaints because that forced me to pick up this coat that I'd been coveting from Zara. Highly recommend. It's hand made and one of the best coats that I've purchased in quite some time. On our way to Beijing, we missed our connection in San Francisco, so we checked into a hotel and hung out for a day waiting for the next departure. Nothing that a little therapy shopping couldn't fix. Thanks to Chanel SF for setting me up with this new gem. Cross body perfection.

Chain Obsession

Sunday, October 20, 2013

(Sunglasses - Celine, Sweater - Zara, Denim - Tory Burch, Bag - Celine,
Chain Obsession Boots - Chanel)

I'd been coveting these boots since I spotted them on the runway during the Chanel F/W 2013 show, so I placed a special order, and they finally came in last month. They're so novelty and impractical, but that's what I actually love about them. They're something that I see myself wearing with care and passing along to another generation, and that makes the investment justifiable. And hey, if I get some use out of them along the way, that won't be so bad, either.

Summer

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - BCBG, Skirt - BCBG, Sandals - Zara)

Wore this stunning two piece from BCBG Max Azria on Saturday evening. I'd been saving this look for the right occasion, and the first weekend of summer felt more than appropriate. Such a wonderful start to summer, with much needed R&R at the beach on Saturday, and today, I spent my afternoon getting a manicure and pedicure. Hope your weekend was relaxing as well.

Have a great week!

Three Twelve

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Bella Luxx, Bag - Chanel, Skirt - Etoile Isabel Marant, Sandals - Zara)

I celebrated the California warmth yesterday in my new denim skirt that I am beyond smitten with. So many styling possibilities with this piece for spring/summer. Isabel Marant never fails me. I wore it with this killer basic from Bella Luxx that's a super nice blend of silk and cotton. Bella Luxx is one of my new favorites when it comes to high quality basics at a reasonable price.

Have a rad Tuesday!

(Sunglasses - Celine, Dress - Melissa Lauren, Bag - Chanel, Sandals - Zara

We had a nice warm front come through this week, and that allowed me to put this new little silk number to use from Melissa Lauren. I wore it with my new sandals from Zara, that I finally scored after refreshing the product page at least ten times a day to see if my size was restocked. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who does this, lol. One a different note, I'm beyond stoked that it's almost Friday! Relaxing this weekend is not an option.

Happy Thursday!

High Tide

(Hat - Vintage, Dress - Twenty, Bag - Chanel, Heels - Zara)

I wore this white maxi dress by Twenty to take in the rad sunset yesterday, following a Thai feast of edamame, spring rolls, and spicy noodles, yum! We later caught up on all of our favorite shows that we missed while we were in Oz. Which reminds me, The Walking Dead starts up again mid February. Do any of you watch this show? I was never really into zombies, until this series. Beyond obsessed to the point that any other show that I watch just doesn't even compare. Okay, off for some Sunday night R&R!

Hope your weekend was wonderful!

Champagne

Monday, December 10, 2012

(Dress - Finders Keepers, Knuckle Clutch - Alexander McQueen, Sandals - Zara)

My style has been super casual lately due to my hectic schedule, so it was so awesome to wear this champagne maxi to dinner on Saturday night following a killer sunset. Everything about this dress is so perfect to me. I see a long lasting relationship in our near future.

I purchased this dress from ICI Fashion, and they're currently running an amazing sale. You can check it out here.

Have a fantastic week!

(Sunglasses - Celine, Top - Bella Dahl, Pants - Minusey, Belt - Isabel Marant,
Bag - Yves Saint Laurent, Boots - Zara)

If you were obsessed with the Marant Renell jeans like I was a few seasons back, then you'll be excited to know that you can find an inspired pair here and here from Minusey. I lost in a few bidding wars for the real deal on feeBay, so was stoked when Minusey sent me these. A perfect, affordable replacement if you ask me. Definitely needing the black now.

Happy almost Friday!

Peach & Black

Saturday, October 6, 2012

(Sunglasses - Celine, Blouse - Maurie & Eve, Skirt - Goodnight Macaroon,
Knuckle Clutch - Alexander McQueen, Heels - Zara)

I've been going so casual over the past two weeks that I almost forgot what it felt like to dress up. I changed it up last night by wearing this fabulous wrap top by Maurie & Eve, layered with one of my favorite maxi skirts. The top is one of those that makes me want to own it in every color available. Things that flow and wrap tend to have that affect on me.

Happy Saturday!
