(Full Look - Topshop X Nordstrom)

Topshop has recently partnered with Nordstrom to carry their brand in over a dozen states across the US and online. And yesterday, I had the cool opportunity of hosting the launch of Topshop X Nordstrom in San Diego at the Fashion Valley Mall. The launch featured many on trend pieces of pastel pink, plaid, and leopard print. A huge success and an honor to work with such wonderful brands.

Ten Twenty-Four

Props to Phillip Lim for designing one of the best over-the-knee boots of the season. It's been a challenge for me to find the perfect style that doesn't leave me feeling like I just walked off the set of Pretty Woman. The Thor-like details keep these boots on the non-sexy side which makes them a more universal style that can be worn during the day as well. They come in an equally as gorgeous cognac color. Highly recommend.

The embroidery detail on these Myne trousers is so awesome! It's a shame that it didn't translate into the photos. I styled them with a very reliable signature blouse from Equipment and this quirky fara hat from Maison Michel. Best hats that I've purchased to date. Definitely worth the investment.

Chain Obsession

I'd been coveting these boots since I spotted them on the runway during the Chanel F/W 2013 show, so I placed a special order, and they finally came in last month. They're so novelty and impractical, but that's what I actually love about them. They're something that I see myself wearing with care and passing along to another generation, and that makes the investment justifiable. And hey, if I get some use out of them along the way, that won't be so bad, either. 

Ten Seventeen

I recently teamed up with Who What Wear and AG to style a look from AG's fall collection. Being a huge fan of the Beau fit, I thought I'd give their thrasher wash a go since I already own this style in corduroy. This hidden placket blouse was a no-brainer because the above is my go-to uniform of choice at least three days a week. Topped off with all black accessories for a very reliable classic look.

I've been craving all things navy lately. This lucrezia bag and tacy boots are some of the navy items that I'm been coveting big time over the past month. Letting it marinate for another week, and if the feeling's still strong, they're going to be my next investment pieces for fall/winter. How cozy chic is this look for the chilly days ahead? The perfect go-to uniform for those non-fussy days that we all share.

I chose their Halle fit because they're a very clean high rise which is always my first choice when shopping for denim. I scored this blazer on sale while shopping in San Francisco a few months back. The goal was to wear this look for NYFW, but that never happened, so yesterday seemed like a good time for its debut. For me, prints either need to be classic or unexpectedly off the wall to grab my attention. This eclectic print from Acne delivers the latter of the two and has left me craving more pieces from this collection.

Ten Twelve

This dress in ivory is definitely in my top five best purchases, ever. So, when Forward restocked my size in black, I bought it without hesitation. Things I love this much are definitely better in twos. I wore this with denim during the day and opted without for dinner with friends. In hindsight, I should've captured both looks to show you the versatility of this piece. Next time, because there will be one.

Denim + Leather

A denim top and leather bottoms might just be one of my favorite combinations for fall/winter. Still on the hunt for an alternative pair of leather bottoms, so if you have any favorites, do share. This is the second time that I've not purposely wore them out in eighty degree weather. California mornings can be so deceitful at times. Checking the weather before I leave might be a smart idea, however, the surprise is always nice when I'm dressed appropriately. Yesterday was not one of those days.

Teen Spirit

I grew up in the nineties, so needless to say, I love me some grunge. If I could swing it, I would load my wardrobe up with every single grunge piece that Saint Laurent has to offer for F/W 2013. Oh, the styling possibilities if I could get my hands on this dress! Definitely my favorite from the collection. This trend is very accessible because most of us own pieces to create this look without much effort. Thoughts?

First Wednesday

I teamed up with Elle Magazine and A|X Armani Exchange to put a few pieces from their fall collection to the test. Having major love for skinny denim, I naturally gravitated towards their power stretch style which is ultra-soft and very wearable. I layered them with their modern tuxedo blouse which I'm a huge fan of. My uniform of choice is a great pair of denim with a classic blouse. I love the impact that this very simplistic duo creates. Never fails me.

This was my super chill look from Sunday. Still trying to maximize the wear time of these very summerish pieces that I picked up at the end of the season. I love these sandals for the fact that I receive the most bazaar looks each time I wear them. Also, a great conversation piece, I might add, if you're single and ready to mingle.
