How good is this Falkor II necklace from Dylanlex? Hubba hubba! What a statement. Totally inspired me to pull out the leathers even if it is dead of summer. Shorts by day, leather pants by night. California weather isn't so bad. Never moving. Ever. xo

Layered

Layered up in my very reliable tank from Oak and this Brad sweater that I couldn't find anywhere full price, but managed to score the last piece at fifty percent off at the Marant store on Melrose. It's probably rare to see a layer under my crop, but sans the tank in this situation would be highly offensive. Shaking the last bit of the nineties trend out of my system before springtime hits. Why does it have to end? Because it's good. Too good. 

One Four

Incorporating more print and color into my wardrobe is one of my fashionable resolutions for 2014. Thanks to Burberry for making that extremely easy. First, their leopard crush bag, and now, this iconic heart blouse which was way too good to pass up on (even though it's a size too small) while shopping their sale at Fashion Valley. Would like to start incorporating more skirts/dresses, but pants are just far too practical to pass up on. They just make more sense.

Maison

It's official, I'm a Maison Michel fedora addict! This fedora will make my sixth purchase and was a wild goose chase indeed! I literally stalked Monnier Freres daily until my size was restocked. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Is it bad that on days when I'm not wearing a hat I feel naked? What accessory can you not live without? 

Oak

Discovered the best tank of my life by Oak. Dramatic, yes, but oh so true. We're such soul mates that I tripled up in white. You can modestly layer another tank underneath or let a bra peak through if you're feeling playful. Love it's versatility and highly recommend. Oh, and it comes in black, too!

Mainly Black

One of the last looks that I shot in the states before heading to Beijing for a much needed vacation. I missed my connecting flight in San Francisco which allowed me to hang out there for a day waiting for the next departure. No complaints since SF is one of my favorite places to visit. Arrived to Beijing fairly late yesterday evening, ordered room service, slept off the jet-lag (a first for me), and surprisingly woke up this morning feeling great and adjusted to Beijing's time zone.

Ten Twenty-Four

Props to Phillip Lim for designing one of the best over-the-knee boots of the season. It's been a challenge for me to find the perfect style that doesn't leave me feeling like I just walked off the set of Pretty Woman. The Thor-like details keep these boots on the non-sexy side which makes them a more universal style that can be worn during the day as well. They come in an equally as gorgeous cognac color. Highly recommend.

Denim + Leather

A denim top and leather bottoms might just be one of my favorite combinations for fall/winter. Still on the hunt for an alternative pair of leather bottoms, so if you have any favorites, do share. This is the second time that I've not purposely wore them out in eighty degree weather. California mornings can be so deceitful at times. Checking the weather before I leave might be a smart idea, however, the surprise is always nice when I'm dressed appropriately. Yesterday was not one of those days.

Looking for a back up fedora that's worthy of trading places with this one a few times per week. I've come to terms with the fact that I'm a crazy hat lady, and I feel naked at most times without anything on my head. I found an insane style from Maison Michel, but for the ticket, I might end up sleeping with it on to justify the price. Please leave me a comment if you have any other fedora suggestions.

Wearing this killer wrap top from Maurie & Eve that I've styled a few times within the past year. Topped off with basic staples that I can't get enough of. Found the perfect mini Saint Laurent cross body bag over the weekend that might give this Chanel mini a run for its money. Not sure if I really need it, but I sure do want it. If I'm still lusting over it by end of July, it's on!

Wore this black & white look to dinner tonight. Now I'm definitely questioning why I wore a white blazer to Indian food. I'm noticing spots of masala sauce all over my blazer as I type this. Luckily, I scored it from an Asos sale for under twenty bucks. Because, this sauce, is not so friendly when trying to remove it, especially on white.

Kept it simple today in mainly all black with the exception of this cozy sweater that I picked up while shopping on Melrose last month. Crazy that it's June and I was freezing today in a sweater and denim. I'm hoping for nice beach weather this weekend, so I can bum it and catch up on some reading. Fingers and toes crossed. Bring on the heat!

Not very spring appropriate, but I've been craving all black ensembles lately. I blame it on the California "May Gray" weather that we've been experiencing. I wore two black newbies yesterday, this killer stud top from Lovers + Friends (convincing myself that I need it in white now) and this pair of genetic denim that is easily becoming my new favorite. My new Saint Laurent boots have been conveniently glue to my feet since they arrived on Friday. Best boot purchase, ever!
